Indus Scrolls, a digital media venture, that focuses on Indian culture and related topics is organising a national level online photography contest. The theme of the contest is 'Looking at Culture Thru the Lens'. Deadline of the contest is on April 30 and prizes worth Rs 1 lakh are up for grabs. The Ministry of Tourism, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Pearl Academy and Punjabi Academy are partners in the initiative. Outstation will be paid train fare for participating in the grand gala award ceremony which will be graced by a Senior Cabinet Minister in the Central government. Out of the total entries, 50 photographs will be selected and they will be put up for exhibition and any of them is sold, the proceeds would go to the photographer.
